Field Surveys

Precision field data collection for survey crews. RTK GPS accuracy, real-time collaboration, and export to LandXML, CSV, and GeoJSON.

How it works

1

Set up the project

Create a map from the Survey template. Import existing control points from LandXML or CSV. Define the project area and assign crew sections.

2

Collect survey points

Place markers at GPS positions with RTK accuracy. Record point type, feature code, fix quality, accuracy, elevation, and satellite count.

3

Review quality

Filter points by fix quality and accuracy threshold. The statistics panel shows count by type and average accuracy. Flag low-precision points for re-observation.

4

Export to professional formats

Export to LandXML for Trimble, Leica, or AutoCAD Civil 3D. Also CSV and GeoJSON for spreadsheets and GIS.

Key features

RTK GPS integration

Connect an RTK receiver via NMEA stream for centimeter-level accuracy. Falls back to browser GPS or manual coordinate entry.

Real-time crew collaboration

All crew members see new points as they are collected. No end-of-day file merge.

Inline field observations

Record distances, bearings, angles, level readings, and notes directly on each survey point.

COGO calculations

Built-in distance, bearing, area, and traverse closure computations. UTM and coordinate format conversions.

Quality review filters

Filter by point type, fix quality, and accuracy range. Identify low-precision points before leaving the field.

LandXML export

Export directly to LandXML for integration with Trimble Business Center, Leica Infinity, or AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Who it's for

Survey administrators

Set up projects, import control points, manage crew assignments, review quality, and export final deliverables.

Field surveyors

Collect survey points and observations in the field with RTK GPS. See your assigned section and other crew members' work in real time.

Project reviewers

Read-only access with full filters and statistics. Review accuracy and quality before data leaves the field.
