When you sign up, we collect your email address via your chosen sign-in provider.
Your map data includes everything you create in the app: maps, layers, features, turfs, routes, and their organization, including any voter or contact data you import or record. This data is stored locally on your device and synced in real time through Jazz.tools, our data-sync sub-processor. Unless we operate a self-hosted sync peer, that sync runs on Jazz Cloud, operated by Garden Computing, Inc. Jazz account keys are stored server-side, which means we can technically access your data if required by law.
Who can read map data. Access follows the roles you and other map admins grant: a map's members (viewers, writers, managers, admins) can read the data shared with their role. We do not read your map data ourselves except as stated above.
You can export your data anytime.
Account deletion is not currently self-service. To request deletion of your account and data, email support@wicketmap.com. We delete your authentication data and remove your access to map data on request.
Deleted data can persist on other members' devices. Removing a map, or a member's access to one, revokes that member's ability to sync future changes, but Jazz does not reach into a device that already synced the data and delete it there — a canvasser's phone, or another admin's browser, keeps its local copy until that device is wiped separately. It can also remain in Jazz's sync history for any member who keeps access to the map.
Tracking and cookies. No analytics, telemetry, advertising trackers, or fingerprinting. We only use cookies for authentication and session management.
How we operate the service. We use your email to authenticate your account and respond to support requests. Your map data is stored locally on your device first, encrypted during sync, and backed up via Jazz.tools. All communications use HTTPS/TLS encryption.
Third-party services. We use third-party services for data sync, OAuth authentication, geocoding, and route optimization. Your use of these services is subject to their respective privacy policies.
We share data only when required by law, necessary to protect our rights or users' safety, or part of a business transfer (with notice). We don't sell your data.
Children. WicketMap is not for children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13.
International users. WicketMap operates in the United States. Using the service means your data may be transferred to the US.
